I'm a sucker for colorful illustrations and even more colorful characters in a book! Miss Smith's Incredible Storybook most certainly fits the bill.
When Zach meets his new teacher, Miss Smith, he expects her to be boring. But, boy, is he wrong! When Miss Smith reads stories the characters COME TO LIFE! One day Miss Smith is out of the room and so many characters out of the books that things get a little crazy. Miss Smith takes care of everything when she returns to the classroom. #imagination #beautifulillustrations #teacher #reading

Oliver Jeffers is one of my favorite authors. His stories are interesting and creative and always have a message.
In the Incredible Book Eating Boy, our main character loves to eat books. But one day he has eaten too many to digest and realizes that he needs to stop eating books. He doesn't know what to do at first, because his book-eating habit was strong. He decided to pick up a book instead and was amazed by what he could learn by reading a book instead of eating it! Jeffers' illustrations are rich in texture and the layout is intriguing. #habits #reading #theme |
Jill A. HostetlerI love books so much! My particular loves are children's books and professional books that catch my fancy. One thing that keeps me happy and sane as a teacher is being able to get tons of books from the library and share them with my students. I have tried different ways to keep track of my books, but here's another attempt. We'll se if I can make this one fly! Archives
