Sometimes you just luck out.

A goal of mine for this summer is to read more children's books  to bolster my knowledge of children's literature to the end goal of knowing what books to recommend to my students.

So, there I am, swiping through TikTok and I come across @colby.sharp.  He is obviously a book enthusiast and lists many books that he has read to his students AND shows us what his 5th graders are reading.

As a bonus, he posts videos about the best part of his day.  (Love the positive focus!)

I ran to my computer and wrote down the books he shared.  Here is a list of books that I will be checking out this summer.  I put the @GPL for my own reference.

Thanks, @colby.sharp!  I have my hammock up and am ready to get started!

I love books so much!  My particular loves are children's books and professional books that catch my fancy.  One thing that keeps me happy and sane as a teacher is being able to get tons of books from the library and share them with my students.  I have tried different ways to keep track of my books, but here's another attempt.  We'll se if I can make this one fly!
